Bold is the new black

It is long past due to swap out your dusty, beige trench and trusty black wool coat for an heirloom wardrobe treasure.

Keggy Pritsker offered a sneak peek of their Fall 2013 outerwear collection in the Haute Holiday Fashion Show at the Baltimore Country Club on November 30.

The preview of the vintage-inspired coats included three designs.  Quintessential Leikus embraces unexpected color combinations and showcases custom designed clasps typical of Keggy. Pritsker’s masterful expertise defines the feminine silhouette with exquisite ingenuity and artistry in detail – leaving viewers and adorers to believe Bold is the New Black.

Designers Kerry Leikus and Ella Pritsker first revealed a delicious plum trench adorned with honey gold trim.  The unorthodox contrasting jewel tones and monochromatic, bauble-like, enameled buttons reinvents the classic trench.

Keggy Pritsker next unveiled a creamy, caramel wool coat striped with unexpected pops of apricot, vintage violet, and butterscotch.  Expert ruching creates a sumptuous, puffed lapel referencing classic fashions of the 1950s.

Finally, a citrine long wool with apricot accents and tone-on-tone bell sleeves was introduced. Reminiscent of a period long forgotten, the elegance of this yesteryear-inspired shape exudes youthful ease in a fresh, autumnal palette.

Keggy Pritsker has captured an avant garde vibrancy in its preview collection.  Leikus and Pritsker have left no stone unturned and no detail overlooked in making these embellished, sculptured works of art.
