The bustle of NYFW’s runway shows was nothing compared to the clamor of excitement surrounding the celebrity attendees. At the Nolcha Fashion show, we spotted the regal Kelly Rutherford a.k.a. Lily van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl and quickly snapped a picture with the blonde beauty. Flashes of light surrounded fellow blonde actress Jennie Garth as well, who doubled as a model and guest.
Another head-turning celebrity was seated front and center. Best known for her Calvin Klein representation and no stranger to the runway, Christy Turlington was a stunning standout in her nude makeup and simple white tee. Equally iconic Coco Rocha was also in attendance, a regular in both New York City and Paris Fashion Weeks. Mel B, better known as Scary Spice, proved anything but scary as paparazzi fearlessly nudged closer to get the perfect shot. Mel B was an obvious choice to judge the Project Subway, the contest challenging designers to create looks out of anything found in Subway restaurants. Mel B’s rise to rock star status on America’s Got Talent was apparent by the entourage of photographers following her.
We caught a glimpse of Carrie Diaries star Chloe Bridges flaunting her own interpretation of Sex and the City style. Nerves quickly rose when spotting Jeannie Mai from Style Network’s How Do I Look? Quickly re-thinking our outfit choices, Jeannie Mai’s dazzling smile eased any apprehension. Mehcad Brooks stole our heart and the attention of the entire female contingent. Necessary Roughness star Mehcad never shied away from the camera, though he did wear sunglasses throughout the entire show- perhaps to keep out the glare of flashes. With an all black ensemble, Mehcad’s slick white and gold sneakers matched the bling of his oversized diamond earrings.
At the end of the day, our iCloud storage had reached its limit. We cleared our photo streams to make room for the next Keggy event, Nolcha’s Fashion Lounge and Media Brunch.
